1.Products:

The aluminum fences assembled, according to Alumiguard MFG standards, are consistent with the regulations of the Ontario Building Code applicable

2.Materials;

    2.1 Components

The fence components are composed of aluminum extrusions alloy 6063-T5. 

The posts AG 001 are extruded in a high-strength aluminum alloy with superior mechanical characteristics. They sit vertically and are set into the ground with concrete to ensure a stable fence.

Alumiguard MFG standard posts used in fences are square-shaped of 3” x 3” and 2”x2”. The pickets AG 007 ¾” x ¾” are 3 ¼ inch c/c. The spindles AG 006 ½” x ¾” are attached to the posts with self-tapping screws.

The top aluminum handrail, AG 005 depending on the choice of the customer comes in 3 different styles, Rectangular, Round and Crown with a length of maximum 192 inch. The bottom aluminum handrail AG 009, comes in lengths of maximum 192 inch.

Posts are covered with Plastic Covers AG 016 which fit the component. 

    2.2 Railing finish

The fence system will be powder-coated with colors to be selected by the customer. Alumiguard MFG standard colour chart comprises White, Warm Beige, Black, Clay, Commercial Brown, Charcoal and Cashmere.

    2.3 Bindings

Self-tapping screws are used for assemblies and are in zinc.

3.Fabrication / Installation

Alumiguard MFG aluminum fence system will be delivered on the job site in pre-assembled elements if the customer requires it and will be installed according to the Alumiguard’s MFG instructions 

4.Fence Height

The total heights of the fence from the ground will be 1524 mm maximum (60”) and minimum 920 mm (36”) with max width of 1524 mm maximum (60”). The total post height is the fence height plus the amount of post that needs to be buried in the ground.

All the measurements will be taken on the job site before the fabrication is made.

5.Submittals:

Submitted shop drawings will be sealed by a professional engineer and will indicate materials, dimensions, thicknesses, connections, joints method of anchorage, number of anchors, supports details, accessories and relationship to adjacent work.
